3 twists per inch (or 1 twist per cm) is about right. Any tighter and the insula-
tion could be damaged. This technique offers the best coupling by guarantee-
ing that the wires always will be placed adjacent to one another. Even windings
of different lengths (turns) are helped by this technique. Having only a portion
of the length twisted together, the coupling is improved.
