One caution: Whenever the resonant capacitor is placed on a lower voltage
output, the ripple current entering the capacitor increases. So, carefully check
the ratings against the application.
In ZVS QR supplies that use power MOSFETs, the resonant capacitor
(placed across the drain and source pins) will be summed with the output capac-
itance (C
OSS
) of the MOSFET during its off-time. Some designers use only the
C
OSS
of the MOSFET. Caution must be used with this approach since this capac-
itance is highly nonlinear and varies with voltage and from part to part. But, by
