Systems for Supervision of Substation Battery Continuity

6.1 Introduction

An auxiliary DC power supply substation system, shown in Figure 6.1, includes main and reserve auxiliary transformers, power battery, chargers, DC bus bars, and a distribution cabinet. This is an important substation system upon which the reliability of relay protection, automatic system control, and communication depend. According to reference 1, disturbances in this system may even lead to a full power system collapse.
