Colors in culture

Think about the colors that you use, and that they may not mean the same thing in different cultures and groups. For example, purple is worn by women in Thailand to mourn the loss of a husband, yet when twinned with yellow means "Easter" to many North Americans.

There is some great information at http://www.color-wheel-artist.com/color-meanings.html (used with permission from Shirley Williams).

This is all so very important if you are designing for an international audience, for example, if you are designing an investor video. You might not be creating anything that is offensive or confusing to a specific audience, but you should at least consider the concept.
