Props

Props are the most numerous feature of PowToon. There are hundreds of them, and they are being added all the time.

Paradoxically, they are something that we will not spend too much time on because you should just use whatever props you want, but they are props, and they have a supporting role.

I classify props into the following two groups:

  • Factual props
  • Emotional props (people are props too)

Factual props are there to support the story you are telling. Emotional props are there to support the feelings that you want to convey. As you plan and build your PowToon, ask yourself whether there are some feelings you want people to have, and if so, ask yourself whether there are any props that you can use to help convey these feelings.
