History of PowerBuilder Frameworks

PowerBuilder is a 4GL programming language that helps developers create business applications quickly. Although many companies have developed internal frameworks to help their development staff, several vendors have developed frameworks that incorporate PowerBuilder. PowerBuilder frameworks have evolved using a number of approaches. All these approaches have relied on code reuse, but the balance between inheritance and instantiation has varied significantly—and so have the results.
