The casing joint should also be examined.
Any drop in the hydrotest pressure should be investigated.
If the hydrotest is satisfactory, the pressure should be released and the water
should be drained.
9.5.5 Installation of coupling, lines, and fittings
The pump coupling half can now be mounted onto the shaft.
Shaft end should preferably be flush with the coupling half. However, if it
was not so originally, this should have been recorded and kept along similar
lines.
The sealant lines, oil level gauges, cooling water lines, or any other should be
fitted.
After the blind flanges are removed, the pump nozzles should be completely
covered by a tape.
