A Legacy Data Store is a data repository of any type that holds data of interest to the new system.

Once the Key Business Data Areas have been identified, Legacy Data Stores can be linked to one or more Key Business Data Areas. This gives us a way of organizing a plethora of candidate sources into sets that can be planned for and dealt with systematically.
