STEP 3.5: POST-IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW

We all pay lip service to this. It is a statement in most project plans that we will conduct a post-project review. How often they really happen is more of a moot point.

But in a data migration exercise they have an additional role to the ‘lessons learnt‘ and ‘would have been better if‘ statements. There are some activities that must happen after a data migration and some that are just darn useful.

Step 3.5.1: mopping up

We would like it if all the planned data that was expected to be loaded was loaded but it rarely happens that way.
