The first play showed a very promising experience. Playing the prototype was fun and it was clear that the whole thing was on the right track. Of course, the initial questions were really spot-on, as the knowledge of the game we had was deep and based on a previous title for the same IP and a long list of well-known problems and possible improvements.
What really required some more thought were the rules. The damage and HP ranges were too tight: with attacks dealing 1 to 4 damage and heroes having from 6 to 12 HP, some cards were too strong and some heroes were too weak.
Another flaw was the lack of a combination of card plays (COMBO) to get greater advantages (that is, two consecutive DOT attacks dealing extra damage). ...
