Is it possible for Canaxia to take an agile approach to its enterprise architecture efforts? Canaxia's situation certainly isn't ideal:
It is a large, multinational organization, which implies that the business rules, culture, and laws are likely to be very different in each country in which it conducts its business.
It needs to support a wide range of business applications (finance, production, human resources, and so on), some of which have very little to do with others.
There may not be a perceived need to change. Because the current architecture has remained relatively unchanged for two decades, chances are very good that many people within IT are perfectly happy with the status quo.
