In this chapter, we explain how to make one of the simplest types of hologram, namely, the Denisyuk (single beam) hologram, which gives an image viewable in white light. This is the simplest type of hologram for the complete beginner and uses the minimum of equipment. The requirements for other basic types of hologram are essentially the same.
