Option 6: Live It

There’s another way to assess an advisor’s brand, and that is to live it. When you hire your advisor you can continually ask yourself, “Am I getting the brand I thought I was buying?” And of course there’s that other question, “Would I “buy” this person again today? Even if the brand has been stable and reliable, is this still what I need? Do I still want this brand? Or have my needs changed?” Maybe this person has been rock solid, totally consistent, and completely reliable, but you’re different than you were years ago. You might want to reconsider whether this advisor can meet your changing needs.
