Now that you’ve tried meditation for yourself, take some time to think about how it made you feel. You may already be feeling calm and peaceful but, as with learning any new skill, it can take time. If you’re experiencing any issues, it’s likely they have simple solutions.

Each of the mini-meditations (see here) has a different focus—body, sight, breath, thoughts, and sound. Reflecting on how each technique made you feel will help you get a sense of which type of meditation might work for you as your build your practice. Ask yourself the following questions about each mini-meditation:
