set with commands that are identical to those for annealing initializa-
tion, as listed earlier, except that the INIT is omitted from the
command. For example, ANNEAL TEMPS:4 would set the number of
temperatures to 4. If annealing reduces the error, the conjugate
gradient method is used again. This repeats infinitely, unless several
iterations in a row produce only trivial improvement. If that happens,
