  1. Use Table 8-1 to list the various tools your team currently has available in the six categories shown. Describe to what extent they are currently being used, whether the users are adequately trained, and the benefits you’re getting from them at present. This analysis might help you identify tools that are available but are not providing the maximum effectiveness.

  2. Use Table 8-2 to identify the types of tools from which your team could benefit in those same six categories, any specific product candidates you know of in those categories, and what benefits you expect each type of tool could provide.
