Managing Risk in Programs

Projects rarely exist in isolation. They often form part of a wider program of work, and programs and projects in turn can be organized into portfolios. The project management world has recently been extending its interest into management of programs and portfolios. For example, the Project Management Institute (PMI®) produced the first issues of its Standard for Program Management and Standard for Portfolio Management in 2006, and second editions were produced in late 2008.
