Creating a Sub-Brand
As you go through the process of gathering the design requirements, you might come across some requirements for sub-sites or site collections that require their own branding. The definition of sub-branding is the process of creating an alternate or child brand identity. These brands could be used to indicate a separation of functionality, content ownership, or other criteria. You still want to keep the core branding elements like the header, corporate logo, and footer. The benefit to users is that they will be able to clearly identify that they are in a separate section of the site.
