Native advertising revisited

If you recall the example of native advertising from earlier in this chapter, I said we would return to it later. So, after reviewing the ten principles for good design, what is the verdict? Is native advertising a good design? Is native advertising subjective? Is it innovative? Is it useful? Is it minimalist? Is it understandable? Is it valuable? It is safe, long lasting, aesthetically pleasing, unobtrusive, honest, and thorough? Perhaps, some of these qualify, but certainly not all. Does it matter? Does good design have to adhere to all of them? These are great questions to ponder. Take the time to do so. Your customers/users will be grateful that you did.
