A couple of years ago the Senior Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric Healthcare, Joseph M Hogan, while he was visiting Finland, presented his vision of the digital hospital of the future. According to Hogan, all activities in the digital hospital are based on electronic information processing; the hospital of the future is paperless, filmless and wireless.
