Both the Omninet Marketing Requirements Document and the Omninet System Requirements Document contain some defects. I introduced most of these accidentally when writing them, but I deliberately left them in. That may seem strange, but remember that one of the main themes of this book is testing as a preventive activity. During some of the static and black-box exercises, you will find these mistakes. I have been told by course attendees around the world that the quality of these two requirements documents is about the same as the quality of requirements documents they typically receive—when they are lucky enough to receive requirements documents!
