A2.2 Third-Party Tools

More tools are being made for Git every day. This section highlights a few of the standout tools. All of these are currently maintained outside the official Git distribution, but many are created by developers who also contribute to Git.

GitX

GitX is a native OS X clone of gitk. It performs the same functions, except it looks like a native OS X application. You can view any branch one at a time or all the branches at once like with gitk. Its latest version includes the ability to create commits, similar to git-gui.
