Choosing Export Options and Settings

You can export footage from the timeline or from an individual clip. When you export from the timeline, you can export the entire program, or just the area below the work area bar. Similarly, you can export an entire clip or just the area between its in and out points. Because the two procedures are essentially the same, the following sections focus on exporting from the timeline.

The settings that determine the characteristics of the footage you export depend on the export option you choose.
