Creating a Movie

You can create a single, independent file from all or part of the program in the timeline. You can also create a movie from a clip. This is useful if you want to make a movie from only one portion of a clip or create a version that uses a different format or compression type.

Just as you specify capture and project settings, you must specify the characteristics of the exported movie, such as frame size, frame rate, compression, and audio quality. The settings that you choose are determined not only by your output goal, but also by the capabilities of your playback device.
