As you saw in Chapter 6, “Creating a Sequence,” you can view an edited sequence in two ways: in the Program Monitor or in the Timeline panel. The Program Monitor shows the frame at the current time, much as it would appear on a television display; the Timeline panel graphically represents all of the sequence’s clips arranged in time.
In the timeline, the sequence looks a lot like edited film. Like film, the timeline lays out the instances of clips before you. Unlike film, however, the timeline allows you to view any segment of the sequence instantly or to view the entire sequence.
