Chapter 15. Creating Output

At the beginning of the editing process, you asked yourself, “What is my final output goal?” Now it’s time to deliver.

If your computer can capture video (via IEEE 1394, USB 2, or other device), you can also output the completed sequence directly from the timeline to a video camera or videotape recorder. But for many, DVD has become the viewing format of choice. With Premiere Pro’s DVD Layout feature and a DVD burner, you can create a DVD complete with a navigational menu and animated scene buttons.

Alternatively, you may want to create a stand-alone movie file to present over the Web, burn to a CD-ROM, or transfer to an even more full-featured DVD authoring program (like Adobe’s own Encore DVD). However, the number of ...
