Chapter 9. Adding Transitions

Although an instantaneous cut is the most basic transition, the term transition usually refers to a gradual change from one clip to another. Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 ships with numerous customizable video transitions, including an array of dissolves, wipes, and special effects. You can also transition between audio clips using two types of cross-fade.

Transitions are selected from the Effects panel, which lists not only video and audio transitions, but also video and audio filters (including transparency keys) in categorized folders.
