Introduction

In 2010 Johan De Pelsmaker, a director at BNP Paribas Fortis, asked me to find a training course for his department at the bank’s headquarters. All the participants were high-flyers and all of them had followed training on presentation delivery previously. But Johan was looking for something more and had clear ideas on the matter. He wanted training that zoomed in on the content of a presentation, not the presentation delivery. What do I put in? How do I structure it? How do I make it effective and memorable? He wanted to ensure that his team would stand head and shoulders above the rest.
