Making a Business Case for Learning

Learning professionals often face the task of having to build a solid business case for whatever they are proposing. This needn't be a gut-wrenching chore. In this chapter, we've put together some guidelines for how to build a business case, what sort of information is expected from upper executives, and how best to present it. We've also provided a presentation checklist for evaluating the cases you put together, as well as some strategies for discussing benefits of workplace learning that aren't always visible on a spreadsheet.
