Protecting Leadership and Other Intangibles

In the last chapter, we recounted our considerable effort to demonstrate that a litigation early warning system could preserve net profits of over $1 million for every three lawsuits it avoids, per year.

But in Chapter 4, we didn’t mention the other metrics we see—the intangible ones—and it is useful to lay them out. These metrics are less tangible than dollars and cents, but they are no less real. With a litigation early warning system, in-house counsel can also help the enterprise find the distractions that reveal friction and dysfunctions, and the circumstances that impair productivity.
