Abstract

Tribology tests are essential for tribology studies by providing reliable data to evaluate the wear performance, service life, and corresponding cost for tribological components applied to a specific application. However, in some cases, the primary goal is to obtain tribological data without doing tests by using models and simulation. Therefore, this chapter is concerned with an overview of the various methods used in testing, measurement, calculation, and prediction of tribological parameters.
