(see Section 3.7.2) are a typical starting point. Meteorological data from “met” towers erected
by companies interested in a site give a detailed view of the wind resource at a specic site.
Potential impacts of WT farms also need to be considered. As noted earlier, bird/bat
activity and avian migration need to be considered to prevent negative effects on the envi-
ronment. Noise effects can also have an impact in the area local to a proposed wind farm
