A method of calculating the cooling load is presented in detail in [18].
The steps in calculating the cooling load of a building are as follows:
1. Specify the building characteristics: wall area, type of construction, and surface
characteristics; roof area, type of construction, and surface characteristics; window
area, setback, and glass type; and building location and orientation.
2. Specify the outside and inside wet- and dry-bulb temperatures.
