Windows Error Reporting

The Windows Error Reporting (WER) mechanism provides Microsoft a means to obtain feedback on application and operating system crashes. Before any data is sent, the user is presented with the WER dialog and given a choice of whether the error-reporting data should be sent. The user can also select the click here link to see what data is to be sent. Figure 4.3 provides an example of a WER dialog.
