Privacy Settings

The application settings that could affect a user's privacy should be placed together in an easy-to-find dialog. If you have a Properties or Tools property page for your application, add a Privacy tab to it and place your settings there. The sample application has only one set of settings that are for privacy, so it is implemented as a single dialog, which can be displayed by selecting the Options item under the Tools menu. The Privacy dialog is shown in Figure 12.3. The values for the three fields on the dialog are stored in the Registry under the key HKCU/Software/Privacy/Sample with names that correspond to their captions in the Privacy dialog.
