Live folders, introduced in SDK 1.5, allow developers to expose content providers such as contacts, notes, and media on the device's default opening screen (which we will refer to as the device's home page). When a content provider such as Android's contacts content provider is exposed as a live folder on the home page, this live folder will be able to refresh itself as contacts are added, deleted, or modified in the contacts database. ...
