This section will focus on solutions built around Microsoft Excel. In Chapter 5 we will customize an Excel spreadsheet into a tool that an information worker can use to maintain content that is spread across multiple sites. By using the spreadsheet, we can consolidate this information into a single tool that also supports offline editing. In Chapter 6 the solution focuses on how Excel spreadsheets can be incorporated into the enterprise. This includes extending the spreadsheet to interact with line-of-business applications.
