Chapter 12. Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC
It's time now to examine the Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. This is a framework that provides an extension to Microsoft's ASP.NET MVC framework to seamlessly integrate with your application in order to create rich user interfaces.
The framework relies heavily upon jQuery, and the controls are extensions of the HtmlHelper object for UI render. It supports natively the view engine from Microsoft, but it also can work with other view engines such as Spark or NHaml.
It also has a complete asset management system (JavaScript and CSS), which allows you to compress the scripts and CSS files using GZIP compression and reduce web calls by combining resources in a single request and CDN support.
