5.2. Using RadScheduler
RadScheduler is a comprehensive scheduling component that enables customer to manage appointments (or tasks) from a calendar. This component resembles Microsoft Outlook's calendar, in which you can schedule, move, modify, categorize, and delete appointments, set recurrence rules, and much more.
RadScheduler can be configured to work against several data sources, such as XML files, databases, and web services. It can work with different data providers, such as Entity Framework and LINQ, and you also can define custom data providers to work with custom data sources.
The control also supports the concept of resources, which group appointments so that RadScheduler can display the appointments grouped by resource.
