In this chapter you’ll learn some important basics on your journey toward recording. You should now be sitting in front of your computer with Pro Tools installed and ready to go.
You’ll set up your first Pro Tools session and learn where your files are located and exactly where you’re saving your sessions. It’s important to have an understanding about how Pro Tools manages your files. You need to know where your files are located and what hard drive you are recording to—otherwise, you could have playback problems later.
