In the last chapter, we barely scratched the surface of what you can do with MIDI. In the exercises in this chapter we’ll continue using the same Pro Tools MIDI session that we started in Chapter 7. We’ll add some more tracks and begin using more advanced MIDI functions.

You’ll learn how to change your song’s start time so that the bars are always numbered correctly. You’ll see how to use the MIDI Real-Time Properties to experiment with the way your MIDI tracks play back without altering the track data itself. Then you’ll learn how to perform those real-time alterations manually, so that you have complete control over your MIDI tracks.
