Business processes typically need to operate on some business data. In this book, we interpret the data models of external systems as well as the data models defined in the service-oriented architecture (SOA) from an object-oriented (OO) perspective. That is, the data models are represented using business objects, and all business objects, their attributes, and their relationships are defined in a business object model.
