Losing email can be a big problem – commercially or just emotionally (“just” emotionally???). To try to help you not do something stupid, Procmail will warn you about all kinds of mistakes, as well as silly, strange or downright confusing matters. Understanding just what Procmail is telling you can sometimes be a bit of a problem. Some of the messages simply tell you what Procmail is doing and are no cause for alarm. Some indicate that other diagnostic messages need to be examined to be sure what is happening. Some give you details about bad things that happened.
