Scheduling and Structure
Scheduling a project can be one of the most daunting and complicated tasks for just about any producer. Although you’ll have some say in the length of the project, the ship date will most likely be dictated by sales, biz dev, or a key date that coincides with an event. Once a release date has been determined, the producer must plan out dates by which each and every element of the game needs to be completed in order to ship on time. If a task is incorrectly scheduled, this error can create a backup that will affect the entire production pipeline.
