Procrastination became a constant companion of mine while writing this book. Prior to this endeavour, I usually had no problem getting things done, but some days working on this book was like pulling teeth. I tried everything to get out of writing. I kept checking e-mail ‘just once more’ or making ‘just one phone call’ or finding a need to rearrange my office. Many people think that procrastination is caused by having too much to do, or from stress. Most of the time, however, it is rooted in fear. The thought of being responsible for an entire book was terrifying for me, in a way that most of my work-related tasks are not.
