ProClarity, a suite of client tools and a server helps end users to analyze data from SSAS. ProClarity was recently acquired by Microsoft and integrated into the Microsoft product suite. It now forms the foundation for Microsoft Performance Point Server 2007.
ProClarity consists of several components: ProClarity Analytical Server, ProClarity Desktop client, and a Web component to integrate with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. In addition, ProClarity also helps in expediting the creation of Microsoft Reporting Services reports. The ProClarity Analytical Server helps you to store your organization's business logic and metadata about an SSAS cube. Typically, you will want information such as custom calculations, named sets, and annotations that can all be stored on your ProClarity Analytical Server. Using your ProClarity desktop client you can connect to your SSAS cube using the ProClarity Analytical Server. The desktop client also helps in directly connecting to your cube and analyzing data.
