There are plenty of books on the market discussing how to use the various “hacker” tools, including some books to which I have contributed chapters. However, professional penetration tests are not all about tools – they require skills beyond simply understanding how to use a tool, including knowledge of project management, understanding and following methodologies, and understanding system and network architecture designs.
