Qualifications
No one should enter program management without the talents that could
make him or her successful (“talents” versus “skills’’ is discussed in the
Section “Qualications, Experience, Talents, and Skills”). Just as engineers
should have an anity for math and science, the successful PM should
have the personal traits or talents that allow him or her to succeed. e
personal traits that good PMs have can be categorized as “hard,” “so,”
and “prerequisite.”
