Program managers are integrators of people, processes, systems, technology, and most of all execution priorities. As highlighted in previous chapters, this integration role of the program manager is fundamental to a program’s success. The program manager connects the dots, conducts the business of the program, and aligns the troops toward the purpose and the ultimate achievement of program benefits. Driving integration requires the program manager to continually learn and practice creative ways to deliver this aspired effective integration value.
