Appendix A. Installing the AJAX Control Toolkit
This book sometimes makes use of the AJAX Control Toolkit, an open source set of some three dozen AJAX-enabled server controls developed by the Microsoft ASP.NET team and the public and available on the CodePlex website (http://www.codeplex.com). It builds on and uses the AJAX server controls that are now part of ASP.NET 3.5, but it is by no means a mandatory download for developing ASP.NET websites.
This appendix explains how to install the Toolkit and integrate the controls into Visual Studio 2008 (VS2008).
